Downtown Detroit Parks are free and open to visitors 365 days a year. The Park opens at 6 a.m. and closes at 10 p.m., unless otherwise noted for special events.
Downtown Detroit Ambassadors
Look for our brightly colored, uniformed Ambassadors in and around the parks. They are proactive and friendly individuals that clean and serve as information resources. They have been trained to provide assistance with directions, restaurant recommendations and tourist attractions. If you need assistance or find an issue that needs reporting, please contact the Ambassador hotline at 313.963.2225.
Getting to Downtown Detroit Parks
Within blocks of the parks, there are many convenient transit and parking options. Each park is accessible by vehicle, MOGO bike share, public transit through DDOT, SMART, and FAST bus routes, The RefleX Bus, People Mover, or the Q-Line light rail.
Events are always designed with the purpose of free enjoyment for our wide range of visitors and park guests. In the instance that there is a ticketed cost to attend, please visit our events page for more detailed information.
Each of the Downtown Detroit Parks are handicap accessible, including ramp entrances into the parks.
The Downtown Detroit Parks are premier spaces for weddings, concerts, performances, product launches and many other types of public and private events. To inquire and check availability for a park rental, please visit our Rentals page.
Dogs are allowed in all Downtown Detroit Parks when leashed and during open park hours. They may be off-leash at Grand Circus Dog Park, open between 6 a.m. – 10 p.m. Owners must be present with their dogs at all times. Grand Circus Park’s Summer In The Parks schedule caters to dogs and their owners with special events.
